Following news that Mid Argyll Swimming Pool may be forced to close in December because of lack of funds, Alan Reid MP called on Argyll & Bute Council to step in and rescue the pool.

He said,

“I have written to the Council’s Chief Executive urging the Council to give the Pool Board the cash they need to stay open. The pool provides a very important service to the Mid Argyll area. The local community has done a magnificent job raising funds for the pool. The Council must play its part too and support the pool with the money it needs to stay open.”
